What is EAP?

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a voluntary, work-based program that offers free and confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals, and follow-up services to employees who have personal and/or work-related problems.  EAP benefits are usually accessible to employees and their household members.

How Do I Access EAP services?

Contact Human Resources at your workplace to determine if EAP benefits are provided.  If so, you should be provided with a number to call and can speak with an EAP Specialist who will either provide you with a list of EAP providers in your area or will call a specific EAP provider for you and arrange an initial assessment.
